Raising a Reader supports families to build, practice and grow reading together with their children.
The research is clear – when families read together, we build healthy brains, improve academic achievement, strengthen relationships, spark a love of reading and build the skills that are so important for school success and beyond.
By partnering with parents, educators and organizations, we create brighter futures for children by strengthening family bonds, creating shared reading routines, fostering social emotional learning, building healthy family relationships and learning skills needed to thrive in school and beyond.
With more than 3,000 implementation sites across the country, we reach 200,000 children and their families through 286 Affiliate and program partners across the US—every year!
Students whose parents are involved in their education during their elementary years are less likely to drop out of high school and more likely to earn higher grades and complete high school on time.
